LAMB: "Well, Brian comes from a blue collar district. You know, it’s a politically even district, but there’s a lot of just sort of working middle class families that live there. And there would be a lot of people who buy their health care on the ObamaCare exchanges. There would be plenty of people who are on Medicaid now or have been or have a family member who is. He knows all the school districts in his area that rely on Medicaid for part of their funding. This is a guy who’s been around a while. He’s a friend of mine. He’s pretty well connected in the community. He gets endorsed by labor unions even though he’s a Republican. So he understood that for the average blue collar person, this bill was really a betrayal of their interests. It was a reward for people like Elon Musk who supported Donald Trump. And there aren’t a lot of Elon musks living in Brian’s district, so his vote makes sense."
