Fmr. Rep. Lamb: Trump Denied He Was for Many Things That Ended Up in This Bill Which Is Project 2025

LAMB: "Well, here’s what’s funny about it. Think about the 2024 campaign. You know, Trump denied that he was for a lot of the things that ended up being in this bill. Remember, he pretended like he didn’t know what project 2025 was and that. They were going. To not hire anybody who worked on project 2025. This bill is project 2025, and I can’t tell you how many, you know, so-called moderate Republican house members there are who have said. Over and over. Again they weren’t going to support cuts to Medicaid. They were going to keep food benefits for their district intact, and they gave away all of their leverage and stopped None of those cuts from happening. In fact, the cuts got worse the longer the bill. Moved through the house and Senate. So the fact that they hid from it in the last campaign, I think, tells you what you need to know. They’re not going to be rewarded for it."
