Lindsey: The Share of Taxes Paid by the Rich Will Go up Slightly Under Trump’s Tax Plan

LINDSEY: "You know, they said they’re not going to change the distribution of taxes in the country. In fact, my bet would be that actually taxes, the share of taxes paid by the rich are going to go up slightly under this bill. Most of the beneficiaries are going to be families making $50,000 to $100,000 with children. That’s where I think their focus is going to be. In the end I don’t think they’re actually going to cut the top income tax rate. So, no, I don’t think that’s an appropriate criticism. I think they’re going to end up with the rich paying at least as much tax szs as they’re paying now."
