Grabien updates: New tools, new upgrades, new stations, new shows

Dearest Media Colleagues —

Our developers have been hard at work upgrading Grabien's platform and we have a number of new updates to announce. And stay tuned; early next week we'll announce the biggest update to Grabien since we started 11 years ago.

NewsMonitor: We've upgraded one of our most popular tools by making it much easier to customize your experience.

1) In the settings window, there are now three new options: "My Stations" (display the stations you current have active), "All on Air” (display stations currently live with news programming), and "Search," enabling you to quickly locate a specific station you need.

2) In the settings window, there are now options for "Select all" and "Deselect all," so that you can easily add all stations found in a search to your NewsMonitor.

3) On the NewsMonitor itself, we've added an "X" button on every player, so that you can temporarily remove any player you don't need at that moment. If you remove players from your usual lineup, you will see a "Reset" link appear in the upper right, which is a quick way to restore them.

LiveShare: The source station field is now mandatory on the LiveShare creation page. Additionally, users can specify the show name. The LiveShare page itself now loads much more quickly. Users can also search by title within their own LiveShare archive. For recurring, scheduled recordings, new tools have been added ensuring any disruptions to these recordings will be more rapidly resolved.

Search:
1) Improvements have been made to the order of items in all of our media banks, enabling much faster loading, searching, reviewing & clipping.

2) Wildcard search support has been added to our search indexes. Now, for example, when you search for the "WEF" keyword in titles and transcripts, you will also see recordings that contain the "WEF24" keyword.

Servers:
1) We have added a range of servers as well as proxy servers, enabling improved recording and better distribution of processing, meaning faster Grabien for our clients. Relatedly, we recently completed an upgrade of our servers' internet connection, no longer relying on our data center — which made us vulnerable to a DDoS attack earlier this year — but through a fiber line direct to one of the internet's "backbones." This is why you may have noticed download speeds having improved more than 100 percent.

Also, we are constantly adding new programming. Some notable recent additions include The Joe Rogan Show (the video version), the PBD Podcast, the Mark Levin Show, as well as dozens of local TV and radio stations.

And stay tuned, next week we're dropping something ... YUGE!

Happy Friday!
