PHILLIP And for a ░░░░░░░░ to all of this ░░░░░░░░ me now is CNN ░░░░░░░░ Legal Analyst Elie Honig ░░░░░░░░ what did you make ░░░░░░░░ that HONIG So really ░░░░░░░░ He s an interesting ░░░░░░░░ Lev Parnas PHILLIP Yeah ░░░░░░░░ I think it s ░░░░░░░░ to remember who he ░░░░░░░░ and what his past ░░░░░░░░ As you said he ░░░░░░░░ convicted of various federal ░░░░░░░░ He did about 20 ░░░░░░░░ or so in federal ░░░░░░░░ But before that the ░░░░░░░░ we first came to ░░░░░░░░ Lev Parnas was he ░░░░░░░░ mixed up in what ░░░░░░░░ Donald Trump s first ░░░░░░░░ relating to Ukraine He ░░░░░░░░ working with Donald Trump ░░░░░░░░ Rudy Giuliani he was ░░░░░░░░ of Rudy Giuliani s ░░░░░░░░ Giuliani if you think ░░░░░░░░ it that way to ░░░░░░░░ to initiate this investigation ░░░░░░░░ Joe Biden He was ░░░░░░░░ Lev Parnas was part ░░░░░░░░ the effort to remove ░░░░░░░░ Marie Yovanovitch if you ░░░░░░░░ her So he was ░░░░░░░░ really hand in hand ░░░░░░░░ Trump and Rudy And ░░░░░░░░ most important thing I ░░░░░░░░ that he just said ░░░░░░░░ this He said absolutely ░░░░░░░░ his knowledge and this ░░░░░░░░ a fact Hunter Biden ░░░░░░░░ receiving large amounts of ░░░░░░░░ from Burisma but he ░░░░░░░░ he never saw any ░░░░░░░░ that any of that ░░░░░░░░ made its way to ░░░░░░░░ was linked to Joe ░░░░░░░░ And that s why ░░░░░░░░ impeachment inquiry has come ░░░░░░░░ so flat PHILLIP And ░░░░░░░░ s not for lack ░░░░░░░░ trying I mean he ░░░░░░░░ literally looking HONIG That ░░░░░░░░ his incentive at the ░░░░░░░░ PHILLIP looking for this ░░░░░░░░ mean when as a ░░░░░░░░ federal prosecutor you have ░░░░░░░░ lot of experience with ░░░░░░░░ kinds of witnesses right ░░░░░░░░ Yeah PHILLIP Like people ░░░░░░░░ you know they have ░░░░░░░░ pasts but they re ░░░░░░░░ involved in the thing ░░░░░░░░ a source of information ░░░░░░░░ do you find Lev ░░░░░░░░ in terms of his ░░░░░░░░ in terms of what ░░░░░░░░ might know and how ░░░░░░░░ that information is HONIG ░░░░░░░░ s a great question ░░░░░░░░ would take his information ░░░░░░░░ I would confirm it ░░░░░░░░ I banked on it ░░░░░░░░ yes I ve relied ░░░░░░░░ ve made cases on ░░░░░░░░ who ve done way ░░░░░░░░ things than Lev Parnas ░░░░░░░░ way I look at ░░░░░░░░ is he s a ░░░░░░░░ who eventually owned up ░░░░░░░░ what he did And ░░░░░░░░ think since he did ░░░░░░░░ time I m not ░░░░░░░░ he s turned into ░░░░░░░░ sort of saint but ░░░░░░░░ think the things that ░░░░░░░░ said what he said ░░░░░░░░ you just now have ░░░░░░░░ confirmed and corroborated So ░░░░░░░░ view him as reliable ░░░░░░░░ you still need to ░░░░░░░░ what he says But ░░░░░░░░ think the information he ░░░░░░░░ gave you was relevant ░░░░░░░░ important and confirmable PHILLIP ░░░░░░░░ notably as you said ░░░░░░░░ he s claiming is ░░░░░░░░ lining up with what ░░░░░░░░ know And what Republicans ░░░░░░░░ claiming there s very ░░░░░░░░ to actually back that ░░░░░░░░ So on both ends ░░░░░░░░ have there s just ░░░░░░░░ asymmetry here in the ░░░░░░░░ that s out there ░░░░░░░░ Honig thanks for being ░░░░░░░░ us tonight HONIG Thanks ░░░░░░░░
