Eric Holder: Jeanine Pirro’s Nomination as Interim U.S. Attorney of D.C. Is ‘Ridiculous and Potentially Dangerous’

HOLDER: “I was the us attorney here in Washington, right? It’s the largest U.S. attorney’s office in the country, has enormous responsibilities. The this guy, Ed Martin, that was an absurd nomination and plainly dangerous. I think her nomination is ridiculous and potentially dangerous. You know, if she had been nominated 20 years ago after she had been Westchester DA. Right. Somebody said she’s qualified, but you have to look at the entirety of her career and these last 20 years as a Fox News host. And some of the things that she has said makes me think that she’s going to be more an arm of the White House than a lawyer for the people. And I’m very concerned about what she’ll do with the power that she has as the United States attorney for D.C.. Clearly, she’s probably an upgrade from Ed Martin.”
