CHAFFETZ: “Senator Fetterman, the voice of reason on the left, but he’s about the only one. Look, this is a continuing resolution. It’s a continuing resolution of the spending levels in 2024. So, Chuck Schumer, when he was the Majority Leader, was all fine with it. And according to the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, this continuing resolution is a net increase in spending of roughly $10 billion. So they’re spending more and Chuck Schumer suddenly has a problem with it, wants a 30-day pause and everybody’s left scratching their heads saying you can’t possibly blame Republicans. It’s all on you Democrats. Either stay open and keep employing those federal employees or they’re going to go into a shutdown. It’s all Chuck Schumer.”
