LIPPOLD: "I’ll be honest with you, a very good friend of mine put it best. There is a difference between backing up and backing down. Right now North Korea is just backing up. They’re taking an operational pause, they will continue with their missile and nuclear program. They’re not backing down. In fact, this is a prime opportunity for the United States to now fully engage with the one country that is the key to solving this problem, and that’s China. China is the one that will be able to push this forward to be able to cut off all the support that is going to North Korea that is allowing this program to continue."
