Zuckerberg on New Facebook’s Mission: ‘We Have a Responsibility To Do More’

ZUCKERBERG: "I used to think that if we just work to give people a voice and help people connect, that that was going to make the world all better by itself, I think those are important things to do, we're still going to do them. Now I feel like we have a responsibility to do even more. All right, because today, a lot of society is divided, right, and so it's pretty clear that just giving people a voice and connecting people isn't enough. We also have to do work to help bring people closer together. So that's what the new mission is all about. It's bringing the world closer together, so not just simply connecting, but also helping to close some of the gaps."
