EXCERPT:

BEHAR: “This morning made a statement that I have to take issue with Chris, because I’d love him and he’s been doing a great job and he said, the comedians today are sort of getting mean-spirited and going over the line. I don’t — I think he is referring to ‘Saturday Night Live.’ But I don’t really agree with that. I think that the mean-spiritedness comes out of the White House and then the comedians just respond to it. And people are angry and people feel powerless in this country. Right now, he is about to go against the Paris accords which will increase climate change negatively, and he is about to do something stupid like that again, putting himself with Nicaragua and Syria, the only two other countries in the United Nations who are not going to sign the Paris accord. Even North Korea is on board for that, and this guy is not going to be on it. So we are furious, and the way that we comedians deal with our anger is to be funny and go out there.”
